How to call BDLC Updates with NINTEX Workflows

The Layer2 Business Data List Connector for SharePoint solves many issues that still exist with SharePoint out-of-the-box external data integration. It makes it as easy as possible to connect native SharePoint lists to almost any external data source, codeless and bi-directional. All native SharePoint list features are available for the connected list.

When using NINTEX workflows in SharePoint you can easily make use of BDLC updates to synchronize your lists with your external data source.

You can call the bdlcupdate.aspx application page within a NINTEX workflow using a "Web Request Task".

Example call to be used in "Web Request Task":

http://<SharePointSite>/_layouts/15/layer2/bdlcupdate.aspx?list={<ListGUID>}&​source=https://<SharePointSite>

In some cases, it may be necessary to use a local URL with the bdlcupdate.aspx ​call instead of the Web URL (as proxy server may deny the request resulting in a 403 Forbidden error).​
